You waste fabric, spend hours on alterations, and feel frustrated with both the pattern and your own body.
People's Patterns fixes that. Every pattern is generated from your exact measurements, not an average size chart. No grading between sizes. No guesswork. Just your body, your pattern, ready in seconds.
Choose from 37 everyday styles: tops, pants, dresses, skirts, and more.
Use a tape measure and follow the simple on-screen guide. Takes about 5 minutes.
Your custom tiled PDF appears instantly. Print at home, cut, and sew the same day.
I sewed a garment from an AI-generated pattern. The fit was off and the instructions were terrible. So I tried drafting my own pattern from scratch. Turns out, pattern drafting is a mountain of math and it takes forever. All I wanted was a pair of shorts that fit me perfectly, made from good fabric, without spending a fortune.
So I built the engine behind People's Patterns. It uses the same parametric drafting formulas that professional pattern makers rely on, but you get your pattern in seconds and at a price that makes sense for home sewists.
I sew every pattern myself before it ships. If it doesn't fit after you sew it correctly, I will personally help you fix it or refund you. No questions asked.

Patterns are generated using parametric drafting formulas, the same math taught in pattern-making courses. For most body proportions, the fit will be very close on the first try. We always recommend cutting a muslin (test garment in cheap fabric) first. If something is off, update your measurements and regenerate for free.
Most patterns need around 5 core measurements: chest or bust, waist, hips, inseam, and one or two lengths. The exact set depends on the garment. Each measurement has an on-screen guide showing you exactly where to place the tape.
No. Every pattern downloads as a tiled PDF sized for a standard home printer (US Letter or A4). Print at 100% scale, trim the edges, and tape the pages together. Each PDF includes a scale-check square and a numbered tile map so assembly is straightforward.
Yes. Every pattern includes a full materials list, fabric recommendations, stitch settings, and numbered construction steps written in plain language. Beginner-friendly patterns are marked. The T-Shirt and A-Line Skirt are great starting points.
Yes. Once you purchase a pattern, you can print it as many times as you like and sew as many garments as you want from it. The pattern is yours to keep.
